Job Description

Steel Thread Software, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and innovative DevOps Automation Engineer who is looking to join a fast paced start up environment working with both commercial and Government clients.

Responsibilities :

  • Implement solutions to drive DevOps transformation for Steel Thread’s customers
  • Establish and employ Continuous Integration practices and tools such as Jenkins or other CI tools
  • Develop and implement industry Continuous Delivery patterns
  • Automate and optimize our software build and deployment solutions, to minimize the time from commit to customer
  • Mentor clients and team members on automation build and deployment best practices, as well as associated open source tools
  • Develop and execute client onboarding strategies to new technologies and processes
  • Support client build and deployment activities through the DevOps transformation
  • Identify requirements for Steel Thread’s Canary Software Delivery platform

Key Skills and Experience:

2+ years of technical experience in development, operations or full-stack implementations

2+ Experience with collaboration & development tools:

Git, Subversion,

Jenkins, Maven, Ant

Puppet, Ansible, Chef, SALT

2+ Experience with various development & scripting languages:

Java, .Net, PHP, Python

Gradle, PERL

Must be comfortable with command line use of the following operating systems

Linux

Windows

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s in a related field.

5+ years of work experience in a corporate development environment.

Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment

Excellent oral communication and effective presentation skills
